Jay-Z and Kanye West: Watch The Throne

The anticipation is almost over for the epic album entitled “Watch The Throne.” “Watch The Throne” is a project that is being put together by two hip-hop legends: Kanye West and Jay-Z. We were given a taste of what this album will deliver in the single “H.A.M”, released late in 2010. The album art has been released depicting a very decorative piece of gold. With such a cover Jay-Z and Kanye are making a statement. They are hip-hop royalty and are taking the game back. Apparently, Jay-Z had conducted a private listening party for the album where he played some cuts from the tracks that him and Kanye put together. “Watch The Throne” only contains two guest appearances. There is one appearance from Beyonce on a track called “Lift Off” and on “No Church” by Frank Ocean. The tracks on the album are meant to represent the culture of the time. “If we don’t make records that we like and represent the culture, we would be over” Jay-Z explained. Jay-Z said that at the listening party he only played the “third iteration of the project”. Many previous tracks on the album were taken off for “being too big and calculating”. During this listening session Jay-Z also mentioned that he has been working on his next solo album and this album features Frank Ocean too. I can’t wait for this album to be released.
