On Boxofmess.com, we don’t usually write reviews for t-shirts and designers, we mostly do interviews with athletes and musicians. But, today I had to write a review up for these SICK shirts Alex and I received in the mail from Crooked Monkey. Recently, Crooked Monkey contacted us and sent us two free shirts, and seriously who doesn’t love free t-shirts! We received the “More Money More Problems Girls Funny Recession” T-Shirt and “The Fist Pump- Guys” T-shirt. These t-shirts rock! And I really like them because they are comfortable, funny, and hip.

Now, when Crooked Monkey initially contacted me, I didn’t really know who they were, but their shirts looked familiar. When I visited their website; which is also amazing and you should check it out; I looked at the press section tab on the website. While viewing it, I had major Déjà vu. Their t-shirts have been in the popular-teen magazine “Seventeen ™” and on one of my favorite shows, Weeds! It was then that I knew these guys were really legit. Also, I don’t know about you, but I loved the interactive monkey on their website, you could seriously just check the homepage out for a bit before you go buy a shirt.

I personally love the shirt but you must handle them with care in the wash and dryer. BEWARE, air dry is the best because these t-shirts are gentle, comfy, and soft due to its “100% Cotton, treated with natural enzymes for an exceptionally soft feel”. With the prices ranging from $19.99 to $24.00, some teens might consider it a bit pricey. But, considering the designs and the material, I think it’s a decent price. These shirts are worth the pay especially since they are eye-catching! I’ve already worn the shirt out with friends and I received a ton of compliments and I’ve been asked where I got the shirt because they “loved it!’. Oh, and may I add that I love the Jersey Shore themed Shirts! Yes, folks they have Jersey Shore themed shirts which are quite funny. When I first got my t-shirt form Crooked Monkey I was excited. I knew I was in store for something new and hip, not something nostalgic. With my selection of the ever so popular Jersey Shore T-shirt, I knew everyone who saw this shirt would be fist pumping like champs. Not to mention, the shirt was entitled, “The Fist Pump”.
These shirts were not typical. They were over the top and beyond. Not once have I come across a Jersey Shore shirt representing the famous fist pump. But, this company stuck in my head though.
First off, besides looks, a shirt must be comfortable. I don’t want to sweat in it, nor do I want to catch a rash in it. It is just right!
As for design… the lettering and graphics are amazing! The letters are in green and black. They say, “The Fist Pump” and illustrate a typical Jersey Shore character doing three forms of fist pumping. I’m sure if anyone on the MTV hit show had a shirt, they would compare it to fist pumping like a champ!
I can only rave great reviews about this shirt and Crooked Monkey. They have set up a foundation of originality and that shows in everyone of their t’ees. It is the same originality we here at boxofmess.com thrive on and breed. For that, we love tees from Crooked Monkey. Great work guys!

As you can see, Alex and I both agree on the fact that these t-shirts are just amazing, original, hip, stylish, and that brings the flavor and funniness to the tees. Alex and I will definitely consider getting another shirt from this company and look forward to seeing what new things they have in store!

Is it a mess? I think not, it’s the best!

On June eighth season five of weeds opened on Showtime. The show started with all of the major things that had happened in season four to remind the audience where Nancy? Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker) and her family was at, at the beginning of the episode. The new season is sure to be packed with all of the screw ups, and mishaps that Nancy, Shane, Silas, Andy, and? Doug somehow get involved with. The cliffhanger at the end of season four made it irresistible for weeds lovers to not watch the first episode of the season, and after the first episode of season five it left everyone wanting more.
