Not since Lamar Odom has there been such a gift of height and ability. His last name is Odom and he is very similar to Lamar. This is Rod Odom. Rod is a highly recruited 6’8 200 pound forward from the Middlesex School in Massachussetts. Odom has received tons of offers from great schools and has the tough decision of narrowing it down to pick where he will attend college. That is the question! Where will Rod Odom go and when will we find out? Maybe this interview will help clarify that…

You are receiving a lot of interest and offers from colleges. As of now, what is your list looking like? Is there an early favorite? My list is Arizona BC Uconn Louisville Vanderbilt Georgia Tech West Virginia Michigan Miami (No favorites).

You have scheduled some visits to schools. How have the visits gone? I actually?went on my first visit this month to West Virginia. Then I’m going to Uconn on the 3rd and Louisville on the 5th.

You visited?West Virginia on August 23rd through the 24th. How was your visit there? It went very well. It was reallly good and it changed my entire perception of the University as a whole. The visit has definitely increased my level of interest in WVU

What are you looking for in a college? I’m looking for a good balance of education and basketball as well as a signifigant playing opportunity.

What goals do you have for your senior season? My goals for my senior season are to develop into a Dominant scorer and become an overall more consistent player.

Memphis is involved with your recruiting. Will their recent violation cause any effect on your decision? No.

What is it about Rod Odom that makes him an elite player? What should he work on? I feel I’m an elite player because I think that I’m alot more skilled than other players my size, I can dribble shoot and pass better than most guards do. I need to work on getting stronger and faster and being more agressive.

Have you planned out a date when you will announce your committment? I will announce my commitment late September.

Once college comes around, how many years do you want to stay before you consider entering your name in the draft? A lot of people tell me that I’m a late bloomer and so I’ll be two (years) and done but I think it’s to early in the process to make that call.

What is one thing we can all expect from you for the rest of your career? You can expect a steady development in my game because of my trainer Jerry Powell.?Because of him?I get a lot better every year.

Rod recently visited West Virginia University from August 23-24th. As he said before, he plans on visiting UConn on September 3rd as well as Louisville September 5th. The lanky 6’8 200 pound forward looks to have an impressive Senior season and become a household name by the end of the year. We want to thank Rod Odom for the interview and wish him the best of luck on his college decision.

Note- All interviews are done through Facebook/Myspace/Email/Call/Text/Etc. All people are REAL. No fakes here!
