Boxofmess.com presents to you our very first 2012 NCAA Tournament Bracketpalooza. We will be showing you a bracket by one of our a boxofmess.com writers, Mark Kern (), and brackets by Ed Isaacson (), NBA Draft Analyst/Owner/Writer NBADraftBlog.com & member of USBWA, and Raphielle Johnson (), Assistant Editor for Collegehoops.net and West Coast Editor for NBEbasketball.com.
Do you think you are far off? Are you forgetting some possible upsets? Do you feel like your Final Four and 2012 NCAA Tournament winner are completely off? Well, here is your chance to check your bracket out up against credible writers, who are well-informed, allowing you to see if your picks will be heading to the Final Four in New Orleans this year.
Raphielle Johnson on his winner: “ I’m going with Kentucky because simply put they’re the best team in the field. They’ve answered any question thrown their way this season, and they’re going to play better this week than last.”
Ed Isaacson on his winner: “UNC, They are experienced and they can score a variety of ways. Combine that with a tough frontcourt & the best PG in the country, it is there’s to lose.”
Mark Kern on his Final Four:
“Kentucky: I have them facing Baylor, which might be the only team besides North Carolina that has the front-court depth to battle the Wildcats, but in the end, I think Doron Lamb is the wildcard and the guy that will lead the Wildcats to the Final Four.
Syracuse: Despite the loss of Fab Melo, their depth and ability to get out and run the floor in the transition game will be too much for the Seminoles.
Kansas: They have the best inside-outside duo in the counry and will give the Tar Heels problems. The difference though will be Jeff Withey, the seven-footer who has really come on strong allows KU to matchup down-low with the Tar Heels.
Missouri: Missouri is not deep or big, but they play better together than any team in the country and their ability to hit the three-ball will get them to the Final Four.”
