Vanity Fair Hair is among the most racist magazines I've read. I had a two year subscription, which I sorely regretted. Typically, in a single issue, there were ~300 photos of individuals (I've actually counted) of which, you were lucky if 5 were black and 1 was Asian.

Basically, each issue was about 98% white... not just regular white, but mostly blonde. On a lucky month, the mag would be 0.5% Asian... because of celebrated designers, such as Justin Wu, Anna Sui, or Vera Wang... but otherwise, pretty zip... except for that one half-Japanese model.

It's not that Asians don't exist, but they are ignored. For example, they might have a blog online about Shaun White at the Olympics, or a Canadian ski jumper, while ignoring the female Asian figure skaters.

I think that Vanity Fair Hair exists in some other realm, where all the beautiful people are white... with a token few that they allow in just for decoration.

Well, what magazine are you reading? National Geographic? A lot of magazines sneakily are one-sided. It's America, an Image is everything.

Who cares!! Vanity fair and all the other white operated magazines have no clue what taste really is. They have never tried to branch out to other cultures so why should they now. We can get upset and ramp and rave but this will not change. I do not buy their mag and I refused to buy any mag that only portraits the world as one-sided.
