The years sure have passed when we think back to the days of Sebastian Telfair dominating every possesion at Lincoln High School. Who would have thought there might be a second coming of him? There is! The class of 2013 has not been in the media but in will be soon, thanks to one, Ethan Telfair. Ethan is the younger brother of Sebastian and is entering high school this year with a lot of pressure put on him. But what do we know about Ethan besides the stuff we know about his brother? Well, these questions might help to clarify just to Ethan Telfair is.

You are entering your freshmen year of high school soon. Most people assume you are going to Lincoln. Where will you be attending high school? As of right now I am going to attend Lincoln High School. ?

When your older brother Sebastian was getting tons of media and press, what was it like for you? It was great for me just seeing all that hype around him. In my head I was just thinking, the only thing I?ve got to do is go to school and work on my game and everything else was going to come to me.?

How would you say your game compares to that of Sebastian? My game compared to Bassy… I think right now if he was my age I would have no chance against him but I know I’m going to be better. I’m putting all the work in to be but me and Bassy are really similar. We are both wolves on the court. We let no one slide! If you step on the court just know it?s going to be a long night for you. We both are great leaders and Bassy and I will do whatever to win. But I guess that’s the Telfair in us like my father always says.?

Have you made up your mind on which AAU team you plan to play with? I?m going to stay with my high school team and as expected play for Juice All-Stars.?

Most people are expecting big things out of your at the high school level. What do you expect out of yourself? In high school I am going to do big things. I don’t think I’m going to do what my brother did. Seriously, come on, besides Lance Stephenson, my brother?s stats are untouchable. But yeah, I?m going to show my game to everyone. They are gonna see that I’m one of the best.?

Have colleges expressed interest in you already? If so, which schools? Right now no colleges have been talking to me but I have met a lot of coaches. I’m not really thinking about college right now. I’m taking it one step at a time like a new born baby but I have 3 colleges in mind. They are Syracuse, Wake Forest and Louisville.?

What is the best part of your game? What must you improve on to be successful? The strongest point of my game is attacking the basket or scoring period because I can flat out shoot the ball. I’m also a great leader and I always lead my team to a win even if I’m scoring, scoring, scoring or sticking good D or just talking; my team is gonna win. What I need to improve on is maybe my attitude. It?s not that I’m a mean person but I get down on myself for any little thing and I must stop that.?

Would you ever want a documentary done about you? (Just like Through the Fire) I would like a movie based on me. It would be pretty cool but just watch out for Through the Fire 2 haha!?

How strong of a relationship would you say you have with “Tiny” Morton? Me and Coach Tiny have a great relationship. He was my 7th grade Math Teacher… Mr. Morton haha. But yeah he’s tight with the family and I knew his son since I was small. We played on the same team since 3rd grade.?

Where do you see yourself in five years? In 5 years I see myself entering my name in the draft. I think I?ll get drafted in the lottery but I don’t care if I’m the last pick. I’m going to be in the NBA but not just ?in the NBA?, an NBA superstar!

The youngest Telfair has a long way to go. However, if there is one person who can make Ethan a better play, it is Lincoln coach, Tiny Morton. As you can tell, the two clearly have a tremendous relationship. Ethan should be the main man soon as the Railsplitters no longer have Bassy or Lance or anyone that notable. So could Ethan be right? Could this be the second time “Through the Fire”? We want to thank Ethan Telfair for the interview and wish him and his team the best of luck next year.

Note- All interviews are done through Facebook/Email/Call/Text/Myspace/Etc. All people are REAL. No fakes here!
