R.I.P Jim Johnson

Today some very sad news came out of Philadelphia. Jim Johnson, the defensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles, died at the age of 68. Johnson was battling cancer for a long time, fighting a tumor on his spine.

This past football season, Johnson had to start coaching from the owners box because he was in too much pain to be on the field like he had always used to be. The Eagles were really hoping that he would overcome his illness and be able to participate as best as he could for this upcoming season but this is sadly not the case. Andy Reid, the head coach of the Ealges is obviously upset about the sad news. Johnson was the first person that Reid hired when he became head coach of the Eagles.

Our condolences go out to Johnson’s family, the Eagles organization and all of the fans. He will be missed.
